2013 Queen Contestants

 Cassie is the daughter of Mark and Dawn Hagopian, and will be a senior this fall at Immanuel High School. She has participated in high school concert choir and drama productions. Cassie enjoys baking and sharing her delicious creations with family and friends. She enjoys wake boarding with family in the summer, photography, and fashion. Cassie also has a passion for nutrition and physical fitness. She hopes to continue that passion as she pursues her college degree as a dietitian. Cassie has a special place in her heart for the Caruthers Fair. She looks forward with anticipation to the fair each year, enjoying the community and friends, wild rides, and delicious food. Keeping this a free gate fair is important to Cassie so that all can enjoy the fair and what this community has to offer. The opportunity to support the fair as a candidate, gives Cassie the ability to serve the community, meet new friends and support her college goals.

My name is Ariel Chow, I am 17 years old. My parents are Jeff and Diana Chow. I have two older sisters, Justine and Marina and a younger brother Jarrett. My grandparents are Jerry and Cindy Chow and Carlos and Guadalupe Sanchez, all from Caruthers. I have lived in Caruthers for the past 14 years. I will be a senior this 2013-2014 year at Immanuel high School in Reedley. I am involved in basketball and will also be joining track and possibly swim my senior year. My hobbies are spending time with family, friends, shopping and running. It would be a blessing to represent Caruthers and being able to serve and give back to my community.

Jena Marie Cortez is the daughter of Don and Josie Cortez. She attnds Caruthers High school, where she will be a Senior this upcoming school year. Jena is a 3 sport athlete playing, Varsity Tennis, Varsity Basketball and Varsity track & Field., Also, she is extremely involved in FFA, where she is the Caruthers FFA President on the Dairy Cattle Show Team, Dairy Cattle Judging Team and Job Interview Team. Outside of school, Jena donates her free time to the SJVOA & Golden Valley Youth Soccer Leagues as a referee and also helps at the Community Food Bank.      After High School she plans on attending UC Davis, Cal Poly SLO or Fresno State to major in Sports Medicine and minor in Agriculture Education.

    My name is Lizette Gonzalez and I come from a family of 6. I have 3 brothers and my parents. We are all very crazy, loud, and love to eat we are that kind of family. My parents are my number one fans in everything I do. They are my biggest supporters. My brothers are twins and a new 1 year old running around the house. I love my family and we will protect each other all the time. I am a very curious person and love to try new things, that is why I want to try to go for the Caruthers Fair Queen.

 My name is Karolina Herrera. I am 16 years of age and I am currently attending Caruthers High School. My parents are Mario and Dolores Herrera. I have a younger brother and an older sister, Oscar and Sonia. They are the main source of my motivation. They help me strive to do the best that I can do in everything I’m involved in. I enjoy being active. A few of the activities I participate in are: Doctors Academy, FFA, Softball, school clubs and more.     I constantly challenge myself academically to achieve highest in my class by maintaining a 4.0 throughout the year. I love to spend time with my family and friends, and I thank God everyday for giving me this wonderful life that I’m living.

My name is Jacqueline Mane Vera. I was born to parents Robert and Janie Vera as a twin. I have 3 sisters, Vanessa, Pamela and Roberta (who is my twin). I have lived in Caruthers for over 17 years. Also I have attended Caruthers Elementary and Caruthers High School. I have been involved in softball since the 3rd grade and all through out elementary and high school. Also I plan on attending Fresno State in the Fall. I love this town and community and it is a good place to grow up and meet life long friends.
