Abby Vick is the granddaughter of Sharon and Thaden Vick and the daughter of Nathan and Christie Vick. She is 5 years old and will start Kindergarten in the fall.  She has two brothers,  Charlie and Lawson.  She loves to dance, sing, do gymnastics, and is excited about starting cheerleading this year.  She also loves to play barbies, swim,  and play outside.




Akem Batth is a junior at Clovis North High School. She is the daughter of Gagan and Kiran Batth and granddaughter of Charanjit and Shamsher Batth of Caruthers. She enjoys spending time with family and volunteering with children. She is running for Caruthers District Fair Queen in order to further connect with her community and meet new people. Akem is passionate about agriculture and plans to pursue a career in it after college. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful experience and looks forward to growing even closer to her beautiful hometown of Caruthers!




Sandra Figueroa is a junior at Caruthers High School. She is the youngest daughter of Joe and Deborah Figueroa. Sandra enjoys working hard and helping out at Carstens farms. She is involved in FFA showing a goat.She plans to attend Fresno State to major in Agriculture and pursue a career as a Pest Control Adviser (PCA).She is running for Caruthers Fair Queen because she wants to be able to support her community and get to know more people. She is so thankful for the opportunity to represent the town she grew up in as a Caruthers Fair Queen Candidate!

 

Amaya Galvan is a junior at Caruthers High School. She is the daughter of Fred and Trisha Galvan of Caruthers and the granddaughter of Manuel and Frances Flores of Riverdale.  She is in the Doctors Academy at Caruthers High School. Amaya volunteers for many community events that are held by a school organization called Helping Hands. She is a member of CSF, College Bound and the Caruthers High School Floral team. She plays volleyball and currently holds a brown belt in Shotokan Karate. She plans on attending a 4 year state or university to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse.

 

Amaya is running for Caruthers Fair Queen Candidate; to meet new people of the community, to raise money so that the tradition of a free gate fair continues and to make a donation to the Colon Cancer Foundation in honor of her mom. Amaya is truly grateful and honored for this opportunity to represent her community.

Jenifer Galvan is a recent graduating senior from Caruthers High School. She is the niece of Juan Alarcon and Horalia Alarcon of Caruthers, whom she lives with and daughter of Francisco Galvan and Marisela Trujillo. She enjoys listening to music and reading books in her free time. She was involved in the Doctores Academy in which she did a six week clinical internship. She was also involved in the California Scholarship Federation, Migrant Leadership Club, Helping Hands, College Bound, Video Production, Cosmetics Club, Varsity girls Tennis, and School Site Council. She is running for Caruthers District Fair Queen because she wants to help her community by raising money for the Fair to be able to continue each year and be a FREE gate fair and is excited to meet new people. She is attending Fresno State this fall and majoring in School of Nursing. She is so thankful for the opportunity she has gotten to be able to represent her community and town as well.



Violet Gaona
is going to be a junior at Caruthers High School. She is the daughter of Benito and Patricia Gaona of Caruthers. She enjoys different types of dancing at idance studio in Fowler. She is involved in FFA, And Varsity Cheer and Dance. She is running for Caruthers District Fair Queen Because she loves her community and wants to help keep the fair an open gate festivity and is also excited to meet new people. She plans to attend Fresno State and wants to major in the medical field. She is so grateful for the opportunity to represent her hometown as a Caruthers Fair Queen Candidate.

Holly Jones is a Senior at Caruthers High School. She is the daughter of Tina Jones of Caruthers and the late Michael Jones of Modesto and the granddaughter of Lester and Debbie Hutchens of Caruthers. Holly has been a member of her the high school’s Ag and FFA program for the past 4 years and the the Drama program for the last 3 years. She is running for Caruthers District Fair Queen to show her love for the community and to step outside of her comfort zone and try new things. She plans on going to Reedley College to major ranch management in hopes of working at animal therapy ranch for mentally handicapped children. She is very honored and grateful to represent her family and her hometown as a Caruthers Fair Queen Candidate.

Abigail Santana is a graduate of Caruthers High School. She is the daughter of Tomás and Maria Santana of Caruthers. In high school she was involved in Doctors Academy, FFA, Varsity Soccer, and captain of the Varsity Cheer squad. She is running for Caruthers District Fair Queen because she appreciates her community and is enthusiastic about meeting new people. She plans to attend college this fall and major in Biology. She is honored to have the privilege to represent her community as a Caruthers Fair Queen Candidate.

Joleen Summers is Senior from Caruthers High School. She is the daughter of Sara and Brandon Summers of Caruthers and Granddaughter of Barbara and Harold Summers of Caruthers. Shes involved with the Doctors Academy and FFA at her school. She is running for Caruthers Fair Queen because she loves the community and wants to give back to the place she grew up in. She plans to attend Texas A&M and major in Health. She is so excited for the opportunity to represent her hometown as a Caruthers Fair Queen Candidate.
